Dubai, UAE, 14 April 2025 – AVATR, the premium electric vehicle brand, completed a successful four-day activation at Mall of the Emirates from 10th–13th April, attracting strong public interest and reflecting the UAE’s growing shift toward electric mobility.
Located near Paul Café, the display featured the AVATR 11 (pronounced “One One”), a luxury electric SUV, and the AVATR 12 (“One Two”), the brand’s sleek electric Gran Coupe. Both models combine advanced design, intelligent features, and high-performance driving.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore the vehicles up close and speak with AVATR sales representatives. Many asked questions about charging, range, and everyday practicality – clear signs that consumer curiosity about electric mobility is rising in the UAE.
The activation also played an educational role, especially for those considering a switch from petrol vehicles. AVATR’s team helped visitors understand the realities of EV ownership, from installing home chargers to routine maintenance.
They also highlighted the growing number of government-backed incentives making EV adoption more accessible and cost-effective. In Dubai, these incentives include free public charging via DEWA’s EV Green Charger network, free parking in green zones for up to four hours, complimentary Salik tags with new EV registrations, and reduced registration and renewal fees. Nationwide, banks now offer green auto loans with interest rates starting from 1.99%, helping lower the financial barrier to entry for new EV buyers.
“The level of interest we saw during this activation reflects how quickly perceptions of electric mobility are changing,” said Fayhaa Al Mulla, Head of Operations at Smart Mobility International, AVATR’s exclusive distributor in the region. “We’re focused on helping more people understand the benefits of electric vehicles and making premium EVs easier to access.”
The event took place at a time of accelerating momentum for EVs in the UAE. In Dubai alone, electric vehicle registrations rose by 70% between 2022 and 2024. With a national target for 50% of vehicles on UAE roads to be electric or hybrid by 2050, infrastructure is expanding quickly and public awareness is growing.
AVATR’s presence at Mall of the Emirates is part of a wider strategy to connect with new audiences and support the country’s clean mobility goals through continued activations and public engagement.
